What is Professional Teeth Whitening?
Brightening your smile in a way that's safe and effective is as easy as visiting your dentist for professional teeth whitening. Professional teeth whitening is a simple, non-invasive procedure that will lighten the colour of your natural tooth enamel and can give your smile a new, refreshed look without causing any damage.
In-Office Teeth Whitening
At the dental office, your hygienist will begin the whitening process by placing a shield on your gums to guard them from the whitening solution. The hygienist will apply the solution to your teeth using a small brush-like applicator, allow it to sit for 15 minutes, and then wipe it off and repeat.
At-Home Teeth Whitening
If you opt for the take-home option, your dentist will create custom whitening trays for you using digital scans. They will tailor the treatment to suit your needs and choose the right shade for your smile. At home, you will wear whitening trays for about 30 minutes a day for a two-week period, unless otherwise recommended by your dentist.
